Welcome to CALIBODYPOLITIX!

This community-based network was created with the intent to keep young women of California, ages 16-25, informed about issues, political and educational activity that affect sexual and reproductive health and wellness. Using the CALIBODYPOLITIX network we hope inspire, educate and empower more young women to become involved in protecting and advocating for issues that provide a variety of options that keep California women safe and well.

What Does C-B-S Stand For??

We alerted you yesterday to CBS' decision to air an anti-choice ad during the Super Bowl from the notoriously intolerant and divisive organization Focus on the Family. Thanks to you, over 4,000 people have sent 120,000 letters to CBS, NFL, and Super Bowl advertising executives asking that they adhere to the longstanding tradition of prohibiting controversial spots during the Super Bowl and scrap the ad.

CBS now claims to have changed its policy on accepting advocacy ads. But its… Continue

Women Face Another Set-Back - FROM ACT for Women and Girls (Visalia, CA)

As we embark on a much needed turn in history, Health Care Reform, women's lives are jeopardized by the Stupak-Pitts Amendment. On November 7, 2009, the U.S. House of Representatives adopted a bill that included a dangerous ban on abortion. The ban prohibits coverage of abortion in the health care exchange, further restricting women's access to abortion. This is problematic because it restricts women from getting full reproductive health services covered. And is a step back from what women have… Continue

And Camille told us,

"You guys, I think I’m pregnant.”

She had been dating this guy who was the biggest jerk and I automatically thought to myself, ‘great, he can reproduce.’

After taking the news in, we all sat there in shock and listened to her talk about how it happened. “We were making out and I was on top of him. We were really into it and then we stopped. Then later on he told me that he jizzed in his pants!”

My friends and I just laughed; she actually thought she was… Continue
